Crown City Chamber Players

Welcome to the Crown City Chamber Players

Music for the Generations

Built on the premise of Ability not Age, the Crown City Chamber Players was founded in the Spring of 2003 and held its first rehearsal on March 1st of that year. With a beginning grant of $10,000 from the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, Cynthia Rosedale of the Pasadena Senior Center called Roberta Wilcox to see if she would help set up an orchestra. Roberta gathered instrumentalists of all age groups, from early teens to those in their 80's, who joined together in a common bond of expression to play the music of Mozart, Beethoven, and the like. Knowing the power of music to unite peoples of different nations, ethnic groups and religions, CCCP is continuing season after season knowing the power of music to unite generations.

The Crown City Chamber Players is sponsored by the Senior Centers of Pasadena and Altadena, and the Wallis Foundation.

conducted by Marvin Neumann.
